James Ronald "Papa Ron" Stiver, 67

James Ronald "Papa Ron" Stiver, 67, Anita, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Mr. Stiver was born May 29, 1943, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late James H. and Dolores (Noerr) Stiver.

April 17, 1963, he married Andrea C. (Zeedick) Stiver, who survives, of Anita. They were married for nearly 48 years.

Mr. Stiver was a lifetime member of the McCalmont Township Fire Company and was a truck driver for Regent Trucking Company. He was known for his great sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey A. Stiver and fiancee' Stacy Withey of Stump Creek and Jason R. Stiver and wife Renee' of Brookville; a daughter, Kimberly Piszker and husband Stephen of Punxsutawney; six grandchildren, Brandi Hicks, Stephen Piszker Jr., Shannon Stiver, Todd Stiver Jr., Karlee Stiver and Addison Stiver; and a sister, Jean Capauno and husband Ron of Ridgway.

He was preceded in death by two sons, James J. Stiver and Todd A. Stiver.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at the funeral home with Rev. Lloyd Getch officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul Byzantine Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Stiver's name to the McCalmont Township Fire Company or the Madlyn Mankovich Memorial Fund.
