James L. Jones, 69

James L. Jones, 69, Reynoldsville, died at 7:02 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at DuBois Regional Medical Center in DuBois.

James, the son of the late Orland D. and Dorothy L. (Martin) Jones of Reynoldsville, was born on Dec. 9, 1944.

He married his wife, Judy C. (Burkett) Jones of Reynoldsville, on Feb. 17, 1968. She survives.

James served in the United States Army (SP4) during Vietnam.

He was a retired truck driver for W&W Equipment and Jefferson Paving.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by two sons, James Jones Jr. (Heather) of Anita and Steven Jones (Denette) of Reynoldsville; three grandchildren, Emily, Tessa and Zach; two brothers, Donald Jones (Shirley) of Hillsdale, Ill. and William O. Jones of Reynoldsville; three sisters, Nancy Jones and Sally Coder, both of DuBois, and Barbara Gula (Joseph) of Butler; two sisters-in-law, Jane Jones and Janet Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel and Charles Jones; and a sister, Mary Bussard.

James attended the Trinity Lutheran Church in Reynoldsville.

He loved family camping, NASCAR, football, antique engines and his many friends.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Timothy Spence.

Interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park in Reynoldsville.
