James Edward Armstrong, 60

James Edward Armstrong, 60, Loveland, Colo., died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at his home.

He was born Sept. 20, 1950, in Punxsutawney, the son of Evelyn Dolores (Armstrong) Fye, who survives, of Punxsutawney, and the late William Earl Armstrong.

After completion of high school, Mr. Armstrong enlisted in the U.S. Navy, in which he was stationed in Australia and served in the Vietnam War as a communications officer aboard the USS Kitty Hawk.

He then held many positions in oil field sales and construction, which led him to Loveland, where he became owner/operator of Rub-R-Wall Water-proofing and Advanced Construction Concepts.

Mr. Armstrong loved his annual motorcycle trips and hunting adventures with his family and friends.

He was a man of honor, integrity and kindness, and he always did for others.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Trinette Frink and husband Shawn of Loveland, and Robin Maldonado and husband Danny of Pembroke Pines, Fla; a sister, Bonnie Kramer and husband Jack of Punxsutawney; his step- father, Peter L. Fye; four grandchildren; a niece, Michelle Peace and husband Jeremy of Punxsutawney; and a great-niece, Hailey Rose Peace.

Private memorial services were held in Loveland and Punxsutawney.
