Jacqueline “Jacki” Young, 69, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at home.

She was born April 1, 1945, in New Castle, England, a daughter of David L. and Gladys (Foster) Grove.

On June 28, 1986, in St. Louis, she married Robert E. Young, who survives.

She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Walston.

She enjoyed traveling, church, hiking, camping and her family.

She retired as a senior sales representative for CNA Insurance Co. She then went on to become a real estate agent.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Gladys Grove of Punxsutawney; four children, son Scott Covert of Warren, Pa., daughter Lynn Lombardo of Philadelphia, son Eric Covert and wife Kathy of Rossiter, and daughter Catherine Ohler of Reynoldsville; five grandchildren, Heather King, Christopher Covert, Matthew Lombardo, Catherine Ohler, and Courtney Ohler; a great-grandson, Brantley King; two step-sons, Robert Young III and wife Julie of Cranberry Township, and Aaron Young and wife Amanda of Punxsutawney; five step-grandchildren, Lauryn, Lily and Leah Young, and Brooke and Conner Young; one brother, the Rev. David Grove; and two sisters, Catherine Hollenbaugh and Nancy Young.

She was preceded in death by her father and a nephew, David Grove.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Grove officiating.

Interment will be at Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Young, may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
