J. Kipp Lukehart, 67

J. Kipp Lukehart, 67, Punxsutawney, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at home.

He was born Dec. 27, 1945, in Punxsutawney, the son of the late Joseph M. and Jeanne (Bidwell) Lukehart.

On Aug. 27, 1966, he married Sharyn M. “Shug” McLaughlin, who survives.

He was a member of the Weber Club, Corn Cob Club, the Punxsutawney Country Club and the Jefferson County BAR Association. He was also a former district attorney for Jefferson County.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Alexis L. Hock of Akron, Ohio, and Ashley R. Lundy of Wilmington, N.C.; loved one Patricia L. London; daughter-in-law Mary Alice “Molly” Lukehart; two granddaughters, Lindsay and Meagan Lukehart; and a sister, Lee Lukehart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, J. Bryan Lukehart.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

Interment will be at Circle Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Mr. Lukehart’s name, to the Punxsutawney Memorial Library or to VNA Family Hospice of Punxsutawney.
