Monday and Tuesday, students, staff and volunteers at the IUP-Punxsy campus did their part to help out their community and the community of Punxsutawney by holding a voters’ registration drive.

Monday, 96 voters were registered, with four absentee ballot applications filled and a few party changes, event coordinator Carol Asamoah said.

Some of Tuesday’s volunteers (from left) Maria Ziesche, Asamoah and Tom Crumlish pause for a photo between taking time to talk to students about the importance of being registered.
