After weeks of waiting the Sawmill Run bridge located on West Mahoning Street (Route 36) was finally closed to traffic on Monday morning, following weeks of delays due to utility relocation issues. The road is closed between the intersections of Walnut Street and Foundry Street for the replacement of the bridge carrying Route 36 over Sawmill Run.
A detour is in place using Route 436 and Route 119. This detour will be in place until November 2013. The $1,091,540 bridge replacement project is being constructed by M & B Services, LLC of Clarion.
