Irene Pearce, 83

Irene Pearce, 83, of Punxsutawney, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at AM-PM Personal Care Home in Adrian.

She was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Punxsutawney, the daughter of the late Clair and Clara (Powell) Martz.

She married Clyde R. Evans, who preceded her in death.

She then married Harold R. Pearce, who died April 25, 2014.

She was a member of the Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church in Punxsutawney.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Evans and wife Carol of Brookville and Dennis Evans and wife Darlene of Punxsutawney; two step-sons, Kenneth H. Pearce and wife Ann of Punxsutawney and Randal R. Pearce and wife Jinni of Severn, Maryland; and by one step-daughter, Sandra Smith and husband John of Punxsutawney.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Dayna Domino, Jessie Evans, Dana Pearce, Dona Munro, Chango Pearce, Lisa Pearce, Joe
Pearce and Lindsay Woodbury; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; one sister, Mary Lou Burkett of Punxsutawney; and one brother, Donald Martz of Stanton, Pa.

Irene enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially
enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos.

Friends will be received at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home in Punxsutawney on Thursday, May 22, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014, with the Rev. Alfred H. Kimmel officiating.

Interment will follow at the Pearce Cemetery in Rossiter.

The family requests that donations in memory of Irene be made to the Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church, 201 Woodland Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
