Indiana Co. Coroner follows up on death of Glen Campbell man

February 13, 2013

INDIANA — In a follow-up to the death of a Glen Campbell man on Friday evening, Indiana County Coroner Michael Baker said that toxicology tests will likely be the deciding factors in determining the cause of death of 28-year-old Christopher Brandner, whose frozen body was discovered Friday evening in a vacant lot in Glen Campbell borough.

The coroner, Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police and the Indiana County District Attorney investigated at the scene of the death.

Baker said that, while it is believed the victim had been involved in an altercation, the autopsy demonstrated that there was insufficient trauma to have contributed in any significant way to Brandner's death, and hypothermia has been ruled out as causative.

The coroner could not speculate on whether charges were pending in this case.
