Ina Jean Getty, 92, of Marion Center, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Getty was born Aug. 27, 1921, in Marion Center, the daughter of the late Cora (Rodgers) Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Getty.

Mrs. Getty was a life member of the Presbyterian Church of Marion.

Her hobbies were quilting, gardening and flowers.

She is survived by two sons, Richard A. Getty and wife Carol (Winebark) and James R. Getty and wife Karen (Hamill), and a daughter, Patricia Wells and husband Randy, all of Marion Center; one brother, William Smith and wife Ruth of State College; one sister; Clara Campbell of Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren, Nathan Wells and wife Amy, Emily Altomare, Megan Getty, and Chad Getty and wife Juliana; and four great-grandchildren, Ella Wells, Carson Wells, Owen Getty and Evaline Getty.

In addition to her husband, Jack, she was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Smith; two sisters, Margie Yeager and Arlene Smith; and a grandson-in-law, Reice Altomare.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Fred Soberg officiating.

Interment will follow at Marion Center Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Mrs. Getty's name to Indiana Hospice or to the Presbyterian Church of Marion.
