BROOKVILLE — Two rivals never need any assistance to play hard against one another. Tonight, the Route 36 girls' basketball rematch between Punxsy and Brookville will take place in Brookville.

The rivalry game, though, will have a special color of pink seen throughout the Brookville High School gymnasium.

It will be "Hoops for Hope" night, with proceeds going to support Relay for Life. The funds and awareness are put toward helping in the efforts to save lives from cancer.

The "Hoops for Hope" festivities will have raffles, auctions and $10 t-shirts.

On the court, the varsity game will have a rematch from December 13 played in Punxsy. The Lady Chucks ran away with the home game 63-27.

Punxsy takes a 10-6 season record and 4-1 mark in District IX League play into the affair. The Lady Chucks have claimed victories in six of their last eight games with losses only at the hands of AAAA power Hollidaysburg (15-1) and defending D-IX champ Bradford (14-1). In its last contest, Punxsy defeated DuBois, 35-20, on last Thursday night.

Brookville has prevailed in two of its last three games. The Lady Raiders defeated Philipsburg-Osceola and Union before falling, 48-38, at St. Marys last Friday.

The tip-off will be at approximately 7:30 p.m.
