Herbert R. McIntire, 84

Herbert R. McIntire, 84, of Kittanning (Wayne Twp.), passed away on Oct. 4, 2013, at the ACMH Hospital.

He was born on June 23, 1929, in Echo, Pa., to Clyde and Gladys (Farester) McIntire.

Herbert worked as a track foreman for the railroad.

He was a life member of the Woodmen of the World and enjoyed farming.
Herbert is survived by a son, Jerry McIntire of Kittanning; a daughter, Karen (James) Titus of Kittanning; a brother, Robert McIntire of Kittanning; a sister, Donna Kline of Dayton, Pa.; and granddaughters Katie Titus and Laura McIntire.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ricky McIntire; a sister, Kathryn Love; and a brother, Richard McIntire.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, 724 Main St., Rural Valley, PA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, 11 a.m. at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA.

Interment will take place in the Echo Cemetery.
