Helen Snyder, 86

Helen Snyder, 86, Punxsutawney, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born Oct. 26, 1924, in Juneau, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Tretzler) Lezak.

She was married to Arnold M. Snyder, who preceded her in death in 1992.

Mrs. Snyder was a secretary. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Punxsutawney.

Surviving relatives include two nieces, Stacey Love of Punxsutawney, and Heather Serian Kunselman of Smyerstown; four nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Snyder was preceded in death by a son, Donald Lezak; and two sisters, Elizabeth Stamler and Mary Freeman.

At the family's request, there will be no visitation.

Funeral arrangements, which are under the direction of the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, are private at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Rossiter.
