Helen Rosman Koromaus, 96

Helen Rosman Koromaus, 96, DeLancey, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born June 15, 1914, in Vintondale, Cambria County, a daughter of the late Wassil and Ann (Danch) Rosman.

Feb. 1, 1936, she married Joseph Koromaus, who preceded her in death March 31, 1986.

Mrs. Koromaus was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church. She belonged to the Rosary Altar Guild at the church.

Surviving relatives include five children, Joseph Koromaus of Freedom, Elizabeth Mozina and husband Frank of Colleyville, Texas, John Koromaus and wife Elaine of DeLancey, Theodore Koromaus and wife Jean of Hollidaysburg, and Helen Morris and husband Doug of Nashua, N.H.; 13 grandchildren, Mary Catherine Garza, Joseph Koromaus, Margret Koromaus, William Mozina, Frank Mozina, Ellen DeSanges, David Koromaus, Marc Koromaus, Jason Koromaus, Rochelle McGregor, Sarah Morris, Sean Morris and Marla Morris; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Rosman and wife Barbara of Sykesville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Anne Rosman, Mary Fox and Sophia Whering; and two brothers, John Rosman and Wassil Rosman.

Friends will be received from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

Panachida will be said at the funeral home at 4:30 p.m. today.
The Divine Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church with Fr. Simeon Sibenik presiding.

Interment will be at the Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church building fund or the charity of the donor’s choice.
