Helen R. Berger, 95, Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Mulberry Square.

She was born May 21, 1919, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Homer G. and Margaret (Heitzenrater) Dunmire.

She attended Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church.

She enjoyed playing Bingo and crafts.

She was a waitress until the age of 75.

Surviving relatives include a sister, Vera Morford of California, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Wanda Williams, Lawrence “Spark” Dunmire, Margaret Ellen Ripple, LeRoy Neal, William Dunmire and Clarissa Dunmire.

Friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2014, at the funeral home, with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.

Interment will be in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.
