Helen Louise Means, 97

Helen Louise Means, 97, a long-term resident of Valier, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, in Broomall, Pa.

Helen was born April 8, 1916, a daughter of Lester N. Good and Ethel Good Bennett.

She is survived by her children, William “Ed” Means (Candace), Muriel Ricker, Sylvia Ramsey and Penny Warren; six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William “Bill” Means.

Over her lifetime, Helen impacted many people through her kindness and compassion.

Prior to her move to Eastern Pennsylvania, she brought joy to the Valier Methodist congregation with her music and her voice.

A celebration of Helen’s life will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, in Berwyn, Pa.

Interment ceremonies will be conducted at the Valier Cemetery in late spring 2013.
