Helen A. Gudalis, 101

Helen A. Gudalis, 101, DuBois, formerly of Sykesville, died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at Christ the King Manor.

She was born Aug. 14, 1912, in Walston, a daughter of the late Peter Tersine and Louise DeFlora.

She was married to William G. Gudalis, Sr. He preceded her in death on Dec. 8, 1989.

She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Sykesville and was a long-time member of the A.B.V.M. Rosary Society.

She enjoyed cooking, shopping and her family.

Survivors include two sons, Bernard J. (Joan) Gudalis and William G. (Patricia) Gudalis, Jr. and a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Mary L.) Withrow, all of Sykesville; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Costanzo, Lucy Vida and Elizabeth Tersine; and four brothers, Michael, Joseph, Anthony and George Tersine.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at A.B.V.M. Church in Sykesville with the Rev. Fr. Richard C. Tomasone officiating.

Interment will be at A.B.V.M. Church Cemetery, Sykesville.

Memorial donations may be made to Sykesville Public Library, 21 E. Main St., Sykesville, PA 15865.
