Punxsutawney Central Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at approximately 8 p.m. Friday on Route 36 in the village of Cloe in Bell Township.

The vehicle pictured above struck a round hay bale — which had fallen off a hay wagon — while traveling west on Route 36.

A second vehicle struck the rear of the first vehicle when it came over into the eastbound lane on Route 36.

Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police were assisted by Jefferson County EMS and South Side Service.

No further information was available at Spirit press time.
