Harry R. Hibbard, 70, Punxsutawney, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at his home.

He was born Feb. 10, 1941, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Harry E. and Martha (Kovalyak) Hibbard.

He married Leila (Smith) Hibbard, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Hibbard was an equipment operator for the Borough of Punxsutawney. He was also a former Punxsutawney police officer.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Harry J. and wife Christi Hibbard of Greenville, and Terry L. Hibbard of Punxsutawney; a brother, Joel W. Hibbard and wife Maria of Punxsutawney; and three grandchildren, Michael, Timothy and Kayla Hibbard.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. Fr. Simeon B. Sibenik officiating.

Interment will be at Ridgemount Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Donations in Mr. Hibbard's name may be made to the McCalmont Township Fire Dept.
