Harry E. Hibbard, 92, Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Mulberry Square Elder Care and Rehabiltation Center, Punxsutawney.

He was born Jan. 7, 1919, in Eleanora, the son of the late Henry and Mary Ann (Scadden) Hibbard.

May 4, 1940, he married Martha (Kovalyak) Hibbard, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Hibbard was a laborer and worked for PennDOT.

He is survived by two sons, Harry R. Hibbard of Punxsutawney, and Joel Hibbard and his wife Maria of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren, Harry J. Hibbard, Terry Hibbard, Daniel Hibbard, and Christina Hibbard; three great-grandchildren, Michael Hibbard, Timothy Hibbard and Kayla Hibbard.

Mr. Hibbard was the last surviving member of his family, and he was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and one daughter-in-law.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, with Pastor Robert D. Bish officiating.

Interment will follow at the SS. Peter & Paul Greek Catholic Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

The family suggests that donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice in the name of Harry E. Hibbard.
