Harold Don Gaston Sr., 84, of Winchester, Va., died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at the home of his daughter.

He was born June 9, 1926, in Canoe Township, Rossiter, a son of the late Aaron and Minta (Seger) Gaston.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Clara; two sons, Harold Don Jr. and Randy E.; two daughters, Patsy Carathers and Traci Shoberg, all of Virginia; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Ruby Craft of New Brighton, Annabell Agers of Baden, Hilda Mae Gaston of Punxsutawney, Shirley Cassidy of Ebensburg, and Joyce Corden of Johnstown; and a brother, Jack, of Punxsutawney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Max, Lex and Gene; and two sisters, Alberta Hawk and Bernell Gaston.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, in Virginia.
