The Bowdish Model Railroad at the Jefferson County History Center celebrated its ninth birthday on Saturday.

Bill McCracken remains on hand to explain the history of the railroad — in addition to the history it portrays.

The Bowdish Model Railroad contains over 200 feet of track with six engines and 44 railcars.

There are also over 100 animations and over 50 structures, drawn from notable places throughout the history of Jefferson County.
