H. Daniel Brickell, 92

H. Daniel Brickell, 92, Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at home.

He was born July 9, 1918, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Clair H. Brickell and Velma (Fetterman) Brickell.

He was first married to Kathleen Campbell, who preceded him in death in 1954. He then married Anna J. (Shugars) Brickell, who preceded him in death Jan. 19, 2005.

He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Brickell was a crane operator and electrician for B&O Railroad.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Maureen Mancuso of DuBois, and Carol Bonnett of Punxsutawney; two sisters, Bernice Wetzel of Smethport, and Grace Wetzel of Punxsutawney; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Therman C. and Howard E. Brickell.

Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Alfred H. Kimmel officiating.

Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church, Punxsutawney.
