Groundhog Festival 2011

A large crowd gathered in Barclay Square Friday night to see Midnight Special, a classic rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, as part of the Groundhog Fesival. Unlike last year, the skies did not open up with rain during Midnight Special’s show Friday, although showers earlier in the day suggested that the band might have gotten wet again. Today's Schedule

• 9 to 10 a.m. — Registration for Children’s Pedal Tractor Pull, sponsored by London Farm and in memory of Dave London. Barclay Square.
• 10 to 11 a.m. — Children’s Pedal Tractor Pull. The tractors are supplied by the sponsor. Prizes for winners in age groups four and five; six and seven; and eight and nine.
• 10 a.m. to noon — Bike Rodeo at Harmon Field. Sponsored by Jefferson County EMS, STAT MedEvac, Punxsutawney Borough Police, the Punxsutawney Fire Department and UPMC Pre-Hospital Care Services (see Page 3 for more information).
11 to 11:30 a.m. — Bubbling & Juggling.
• Noon to 1 p.m. — Grandpa Cratchet.
• 1 to 1:30 p.m. — Bubbling & Juggling.
• 2 to 3 p.m. — Grandpa Cratchet.
• 3 to 3:30 p.m. — Bubbling & Juggling.
• 4 to 5:30 — Average Joe Band.
• 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. — Kahuna Beach Party (9 to 10 p.m., second show).
