Gregory J. Gresock, 65, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014.

Greg was born on Oct. 19, 1948, the son of the late Matthew and Helen (Anderson) Gresock, in Punxsutawney and grew up in Anita. He had lived in the Syracuse, N.Y. area for almost 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dana Gresock; his brothers, Jack and Terry Gresock; and his sister, Janice (Fred) Pellegrino.

He is survived by his wife, Mia (Barnaba); his daughter, Gina of New Woodstock, N.Y.; his sons, Matthew (Becky) Gresock of Punxsutawney and Nathaniel Gresock of Liverpool, N.Y.; his daughter, Jackie (Matt) Kellar of Westerville, Ohio; his brother, Mark (Patti) Gresock of Sykesville; and his sister, Joan (Rudy) Verbka of Kersey; as well as several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Greg was a 1966 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. He received his electrical engineering degree from Penn State DuBois and continued his education, resulting in several advanced degrees related to engineering management.

He was a retired engineer for Constellation Energy and actively worked for Westinghouse until the time of his death.

Greg was a Vietnam veteran and served in the Navy.

His memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Hall Funeral Home in LaFayette, N.Y.

Donations in Greg’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Research Center and Foundation (ACRCF).

Parking tags for the 2014-15 school year will be given out on Thursday, Aug. 7, at 7:30 a.m. in the high school office...
