Grace P. Neal, 85

Grace P. Neal, 85, Indianapolis, Ind., died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Rittenhouse Assisted Living.

She was born March 20, 1926, in Big Run, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Nell (Smouse) Patterson.

In July 1946, she married Robert Neal, who survives. They were married for 64 years.

Mrs. Neal was a graduate of Big Run High School, and in addition to being a dedicated mother, she worked as a secretary for MFA Insurance.

She was a member of the Valier United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Neal enjoyed gardening, her pets and being a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include a daughter, Cherie Peck and husband Dan of Valparaiso, Ind.; two sons, Robert Neal and wife Vicki of Tyler, Texas, and David Neal and wife Terri of Bloomington, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Spencer officiating.

Interment will be in the Hamilton Cemetery.
