Grace LaRue Byerly, 90

Grace LaRue Byerly, 90, of Coolspring died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in Mahaffey.

She was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Timblin, a daughter of the late Joseph Calvin and Charlotte Catherine (Lingenfelter) Shovestull.

On June 18, 1941, she married Daniel S. Byerly. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 1998.

She attended the Coolspring United Methodist Church.

Grace had previously worked at Laurel Haven in Brookville for 38 years. She had also worked at Sylvania and Loree Footwear.

She enjoyed reading, watching television, sewing and gardening and especially enjoyed her homegrown tomatoes. She was a member of the Coolspring Senior Citizens.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Jerrad Peterman.

Interment will be in Coolspring Cemetery.
