Goldie H. Park, 76, Brookville, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at DRMC  DuBois.

She was born May 9, 1934, in Ringgold, a daughter of the late Russell and Alta T. (Reitz) Himes.

March 7, 1953, in Langville, she married George O. Park, who preceded her in death Sept. 17, 2009.

Mrs. Park was a patient assistant at the offices of Dr. Charles Kutz and Dr. Mark McKinley in Brookville.

She was a member of the Brookville First United Methodist Church and was active in church affairs, as well as with the Laurelbrooke Landing Auxillary of Brookville.

Surviving relatives include a son, Brian George Park of Brookville; two daughters, Jennifer R. Park of Brookville, and Valerie J. Doyle and husband Adam of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Robert Himes of Clinton, Mo., and Schenley Himes of DuBois; two sisters, Martha Hinderliter of Mayport, and Geraldine Reardon of Blooming Glen; and two grandsons, Ian Forbes Doyle and Seth Patton Doyle.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Abe Himes; and two sisters, Mae Harriger and Audrey McIntyre.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2011, at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mick Chittester officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Sigel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church,  Jefferson Street, Brookville, Pa. 15825, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
