Gifford “Bud” Sheesley, 83, of Economy, Pa., died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, May 24, 2014.

Born May 30, 1930, in Hamilton, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert and Lossie Smith Sheesley.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Sheesley; two brothers; and five sisters.

Surviving are four daughters, Robin Sheesley (Honalee) of North Carolina, Sandy (David) Novak of East McKeesport, Bonnie Story of Wisconsin and Darlene (George) Batch of South Carolina; seven
grandchildren, Heather Mees, Joshua Torre, David Novak, Jr., Amanda and Tommy Byrne and George A. and Matt Batch; and several great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received today and Wednesday, May 28, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Poland Funeral Home, Inc., 901 First Ave., Conway, where a funeral service will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 11 a.m., with members of The Beaver County Special Unit meeting at 11:30 a.m. to provide full military honors.

Interment will be private.
