Get ready for a Groundhog-themed Relay for Life

July 11, 2014

PUNXSUTAWNEY — If you have driven around town recently, you may have noticed that many storefronts are decked out in purple.

Purple is a color that represents every form of cancer in terms of raising awareness, and while some of us may not realize it, there are many in our community who have either fought or are currently fighting a form of cancer.

To honor those people, the 10th Annual Relay For Life of Punxsutawney will be held from noon on Saturday, July 19, to 6 a.m. on Sunday, July 20, at Barclay Square.

For event details and times, pick up Saturday's edition of The Spirit.
