Gerald C. Justice, 74

Gerald C. Justice, 74, formerly of Oliveburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born Feb. 20, 1936, in Punxsutawney, a son of Mary Josephine Justice.

Jan. 5, 1957, he married Mary Elbel, who survives.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Justice served in the Cuban Missile Crisis.

A retired postal carrier and member of the Oliveburg Presbyterian Church, Mr. Justice, an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and following them in their sporting events.

In addition to his wife and mother, surviving relatives include a son, Keith Justice and wife Diane of Strattanville; a daughter, Kathy Geer and husband Kevin of Punxsutawney; and four grandsons, Seth Justice, Ethan Justice, Corry Geer and Tyler Geer.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at the funeral home with Pastors Glenn McQuown and Greg Tibbs officiating.

Interment will be in the Zion Cemetery, in Porter.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the charity of donor’s choice in Mr. Justice’s memory.
