George C. Carey, 54

George C. Carey, 54, Rossiter, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

He was born April 16, 1959, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late George J. and Audrey Claire (Painter) Carey.

On Dec. 24, 2011, he married Connie (Bair) Ryen Carey, who survives.

He worked as a Service Technician at KPM/Herkules Group in Ford City, Pa.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his Harley-Davidson and ATVs and family activities.

He was also a sponsor for Narcotics Anonymous for many years.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include three daughters, Amanda Cieszynski and husband Ron of Glenshaw, Pa., Rebecca Adams and husband Shane of New Bethlehem, Pa., and Jessica Williamson and husband Jerod of Dayton, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and a brother, Tim Carey of Kittanning.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Rossiter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions, in memory of Mr. Carey, be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Indiana Church of God.
