Genevieve C. Roach, 78, Sykesville, died Monday, April 4, 2011, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 17, 1932, in Nanty Glo, a daughter of the late James and Carey (Himes) Whitsell.
She was married to Robert Roach, who preceded her in death.
Surviving relatives include five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a daughter, Louise Vandervort; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Roach, Elmer Roach and an infant son, John Roach; a great-granddaughter, Amber Zeidick; a brother, James Whitsell; and a sister, Mae Ferguson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Ruffner officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Knox Dale.
