The First Church of God in Punxsutawney is hosting another installment of Free Clothing Days Friday and Saturday in the church gymnasium.

Event coordinator Shelley Rowan said the event is in its fifth year, and it takes place every spring and fall.

Rowan said the idea came from always wanting to do a soup kitchen, but with the location not being ideal for a soup kitchen, she decided to provide clothing to folks instead.

Individuals interested in donating clothing can drop off items at the church up until Thursday.

Items shouldn’t have holes or tears and should have no profanity on them.

Undergarments only will be accepted if brand new and in original packaging.

Rowan thanked all of the volunteers who have been assisting with the event over the years.

Those interested in browsing the clothing may do so between 2 and 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. and noon Saturday and are encouraged to bring their own bag to take items home.
