Franklin G. “Glaze” Lingenfelter, 84

Franklin G. “Glaze” Lingenfelter, 84, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Jefferson Manor Health Center, Brookville.

He was born Jan. 27, 1929, in Perry Township, a son of the late Marion G. “Simon” and Mabel P. (Bush) Lingenfelter.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator and drove truck.

He loved driving, going for rides, hunting, gardening and mowing on his John Deere tractors.

He was a member of the Moose and the American Legion.

Surviving relatives include five children, Randy Lingenfelter and wife Sandy of Punxsutawney, Abby Snyder and husband Rick of Punxsutawney, Linda Clark and husband Charlie of Curwensville, Tammy McDivitt and husband Rodney of Punxsutawney and Tom Lingenfelter and wife Thresa of Jersey Shore, Pa.; a sister, Alberta Hilliard of Ringgold; a sister-in-law, Kathryn Lingenfelter of Ringgold; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Marguerite Lingenfelter; a great-grandson, Waylon J. Hawk; two brothers, Grant and Fred Lingenfelter; and a son-in-law, William Bair.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Spiker, Chaplain of VNA Hospice, officiating.

Interment will be at Ringgold Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made, in memory of Mr. Lingenfelter, to the VNA Family Hospice of Punxsutawney, 1464 North Main St., Suite 15, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
