Frank Albert Hetrick, 92, Brookville, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Golden Living in Clarion.

He was born Nov. 10, 1919, in Knox Township, a son of the late Gilbert Jackson and Clara Etta (Wolfe) Hetrick.

April 22, 1944, he married the former Betty Jane Himes, who preceded him in death Nov. 8, 1996.

Mr. Hetrick was a member of the First Baptist Church.  He was a man of strong faith and encouraged others in their own faith.

He worked on the Pittsburgh and Shawmut Railroad.

Mr. Hetrick enjoyed hunting and gardening, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family adored him.

 Surviving relatives include three children, Terry Hetrick and wife Lana of Brookville, Joseph Hetrick and wife Lynn of Hopkins, S.C., and Peggy Shields and husband Edwin of Reynoldsville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, May Malone of Ridgway.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Clair, Reid, Roy and Ray Hetrick; a sister, Dorothy Haag; and a daughter-in-law, Estrella Hetrick.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at the Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home Inc., Brookville.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at the funeral home, co-officiated by Pastors Ray Baker, Brian Smeal and Henry Scoff.

Interment will follow at St. John’s Windy Hill Cemetery, Rose Township, Jefferson County.
