Frances V. Pape Stojek, 83

Frances V. Pape Stojek, 83, DuBois, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.

She was born Dec. 22, 1927, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Galletta) Pape.

Sept. 16, 1948, she married Albert "Snuffy" Stojek, who preceded her in death May 29, 1970.

Mrs. Stojek graduated from SS. Cosmas and Damian High School in Punxsutawney in 1946.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Reynoldsville and a former member of S.S. Cosmas and Damian Church in Punxsutawney and St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in DuBois.

Surviving relatives include three sons, Ron Stojek and wife Lori of Reynoldsville, Tom Stojek and wife Mary Beth of Clearfield, and Tim Stojek and wife Lori of Halifax; a daughter, Cindy Detar and husband Rick of Falls Creek; seven granddaughters; three grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Carmen Pape and wife Pat of DuBois, Rocco Pape and wife Martha of Rossiter, and Peter Pape and wife Elaine of Punxsutawney.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Concetta Marie Pape.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Reynoldsville, with the Rev. Fr. Richard Allen officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, DuBois.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, Reynoldsville.
