Frances Esposito Stephens, 64, of Tarpon Springs, Fla., formerly of Punxsutawney, lost her courageous battle to cancer on Thursday, May 30, 2013.
Frances was born May 31, 1948, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of Connie
Esposito and the late Emilio (Curly) Esposito.
Following graduation from PAHS, Frances proceeded to Washington, D.C., where she worked at the Department of Transportation.
She then traveled and lived in many states managing restaurants, eventually owning and managing her own restaurant, âLa Siesta,â in Punxsutawney.
Fran thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and crafts (knitting, crocheting, ceramics and sewing) and helping anyone who needed it.
Frances is survived by her mother, Connie Esposito of Punxsutawney; two daughters, Lydia Richards and husband Jason of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and Connie Minnick of Punxsutawney; seven grandchildren, Emilio, Mena and Kalia Chavez, Makenna Richards, Dante Canales-Perry and Ashley
and Samantha Minnick; a great-grandson, Charley; three sisters, Carmella Prendergast and husband Kevin of Groton, Conn., Patricia Perry of Punxsutawney and Amelia McGuire of Willimatic, Conn.; a brother, Frank Esposito of Groton, Conn.; seven nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a husband, Maynard Perry; and brother-in-law, Harold Perry.
As per Franâs wishes, she did not want a viewing but instead a rejoicing of her memories of a life well lived.
