Forrest "Skip" Clair Milliron, 75, Warren, passed away peacefully into eternal life Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Cleveland Clinic of natural causes.
He was born Feb. 20, 1936, in Perry Township, the son of the late Forrest Clinton and Letha Luella (Vasbinder) Milliron.
He married the love of his life, Lori Hogue, July 13, 1986, and they enjoyed 24 years of marriage together.
Mr. Milliron was a retiree of General Motors in Lordstown with 30 years of service. He was an avid union supporter, a committee man and an alternate committee man of the Local UAW 112. He was a soldier, having served three years in the U.S. Army as an air traffic controller with an honorable discharge.
Mr. Milliron was a member of the Newton Falls First Baptist Church under Pastor Steve Spurlock; a loving husband; a gifted father; and a truly supporting grandfather. He was a traveler, a hunter, a fisherman and a lover of the great outdoors. Wherever Mr. Milliron went, he always carried a smile, and his laughter wrung into the hearts of those he was with and the ones he so cherished and loved.
Memories of Mr. Milliron will be carried on by his loving family, including his wife, Lori Milliron of Warren; daughter, Michele and husband Fred Newman of Houston, Texas; son-in-law, Thomas Fendenheim of Akron; daughter-in-law, Christine Milliron of Mineral Ridge; step-daughter, Renee Robertson of Warren; step-son Dale Robertson of Florida; brothers Lester Milliron of Punxsutawney, Merle Milliron of Bristolville and Lawrence and wife Nancy Milliron of Spartanburg, S.C.; sisters Lois and husband Sam Markert of Ridgway, Gladys and husband Lawrence Gaston of Punxsutawney, Phyllis and husband Charlie Morgan of Santa Clara, Utah, Janice Parkinson of Warren, Paula Devlin of Cortland, and Brenda and husband Rusty Watson of Warren; grandchildren, Daniel, Krarissa and Tyler Milliron, Colleen Hake, Angela Davis, Garet, Danielle and Adam Rich, Bradley Newman; and great-grandchildren Kaity Davis, Payton Milliron and Shyanna Hack.
Mr. Milliron is a great- great-uncle survived by more than 70 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Milliron was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorinda Fendenheim; and two sons, Daniel and Michael Milliron.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Newton Falls, with visiting hours from 10 to 11 a.m.
Visiting hours will also be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Cremation will follow the funeral service.
