Former PAHS basketball coach Daly, his legacy live on in Punxsy, in part through CMA program

Even though former Punxsutawney Area High School basketball coach Chuck Daly passed away in 2009, his legend lives on through the CMA basketball program.

Pictured is Darryl Dawkins (second from left), who played basketball for Daly with the Philadelphia 76ers and Detroit Pistons.

He visited Punxsy for Groundhog Day in 2004, when a segment was filmed to run on the sports program “Cold Pizza” on ESPN at the time.
