A celebration was held Thursday evening in honor of a woman who has dedicated 14 years of service to the community as executive director of the Chamber of Commerce.

Marlene Lellock was honored — by fellow members of the chamber, State Rep. Sam Smith and Punxsutawney Mayor James Wehrle.

Wehrle presented Lellock with a proclamation, proclaiming May 30 to be Marlene Lellock Day.

Smith presented Lellock with a letter of congratulations for doing such a good job serving the community of Punxsutawney.

The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors presented Lellock with a diamond Punxsy Phil necklace.

Lellock has accepted the position of executive director of the Weather Center.
