PUNXSUTAWNEY — Although it seems to many as if the season was just beginning yesterday, the Punxsutawney Groundhog Little League's regular season schedule is starting to wind down for the 2012 campaign.

One group in particular — the 11- and 12-year-old girls' softball division — actually concludes its regular season a bit earlier than the rest, with the regular schedule ending this coming week.

With the end of each regular season comes an exciting time: The selection of the respective division's All-Star team.

Until Friday, these girls will continue to battle out the remainder of their schedule against each other.

But June 17, the All-Star season officially begins with an opening-round game against Brockway in Punxsutawney.

Members of this year's 11- and 12-year-old softball All-Stars are as follows:

• Morgan Adamson, Mackenzie Atcheson, Danielle Bowser, Kate Horner, Alli Ishman, Kylee Lingenfelter, Alli Lunger, Kerstin Nestel, Jordyn Powell, Kim Shoemaker, Morgan VanLeer and Tessa Winebark.

The team will be managed by Mike Ishman, and he will be assisted by coaches Dan Bowser and Scott VanLeer.

With the other divisions concluding their seasons a full week later, the rest of the rosters will be released as their seasons near a close.
