Faye Eileen Stormer, 69, of Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at home.
She was born Aug. 10, 1944, at Lake Linden, Mich., a daughter of the late Rev. Ernest Hugo and Elma "Marie" (Halkola) Nelson.
On July 17, 1965, she married Jerry Dean Stormer,Â whoÂ survives.
She was a secretary for the Soil Conservation, FAA and Assembly of God Church for more than 25 years.
Faye was also a Sunday School teacher, Missionette leader and a member of Women's Ministries for many years.
She last attended Tri-County Church in DuBois. Â
She alsoÂ educated the youth with the Jefferson County Homeschoolers.
Faye enjoyed her family, quilting, crocheting, photography, drawing, poetry, playing piano, flower gardening, cooking and baking.
In addition to her husband, Jerry, she is survived by four children, Jerry Lee Stormer and wife Shirley of Falls Creek, Sonya Kirkwood of DuBois, Kowanda Anthony and husband Tom of Fredricksburg, Pa., and Naomi Hokke and husband Jay of New Hamburg, Ontario; 11 grandchildren, Kacee and Kassidee Kirkwood, Ben, Caleb, Josh, Isaac and Jacib Anthony and Cadence, Elijah, Gabriel and Bria Hokke.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Evelyn Jacobson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.
A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastors Kevin Bockus and David Nagle.
Interment will be at Beechwoods Cemetery, Falls Creek.
