During this yearâs Jaffa Shrine Circus in April, a special young lady attended our Saturday evening show. She arrived carrying a very large bag of aluminum can âtabsâ weighing over 25 pounds! This special young lady is Abby Gemmell, daughter of Robert and Cindy Gemmell of Punxsutawney, PA. Robert, being a third generation Shriner, was Abbyâs source of information about our TAB program to help support our Hospitals. Abby turned in 2-1 gallon plastic bags of tabs at last yearâs circus.
Abby is a student at the Punxsutawney Middle School. Abby and her friends collected a lot of cans during the year. It takes over 750 aluminum can tabs to make a pound and she had over 25 pounds of tabs. The children in the Shriners Hospitals appreciate your achievement. Jaffa Shrine thanks you and your friends and your participation in our âTABâ program supporting our 22 Shriners Hospitals.
If you would like more information on the Shriners Hospital TAB program, please contact the Jaffa Shrine at 814-944-4043.
