December 13, 2013

Shelly Bishop

(Editor’s note: This piece is one in a series of “Familiar Faces Friday” features to be written by Spirit reporter Destiny Pifer. The point of the project will be to highlight a member of the community who may be recognizable to many and tell his or her story. Today’s familiar face is Shelly Bishop.)

PUNXSUTAWNEY— Shelly Bishop is a familiar face. You may recognize her from the Punxsutawney Area Hospital, where she works in the lab. Or perhaps you have seen her throughout the community.

Bishop was born in Punxsutawney but raised in Ringgold.

She is a 1973 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School who immediately jumped into the working world after graduation.
