October 10, 2013

Lynn Porada

(Editor’s note: This piece is one in a series of “Familiar Faces Friday” features to be written by Spirit reporter Destiny Pifer. The point of the project will be to highlight a member of the community who may be recognizable to many and tell his or her story. Today’s familiar face is Lynn Porada.)

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Lynn Porada is a recognizable face around town.

You may have seen her working at Dr. Frank Bizousky’s office, or perhaps you have seen her rescuing stray animals throughout town.

An avid animal lover and animal advocate, Porada was born and raised in Punxsutawney.

A 1989 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School, she attended the Western School of Health and Business.

Read all about Porada in Friday's edition of The Spirit.
