PUNXSUTAWNEY — Gloria Kerr is a familiar face. You may recognize her as the president of the Garden Club. Or perhaps you have seen her and the rest of the Garden Club working hard around the community, planting and doing beautification projects.

Kerr was born and raised in Punxsutawney.

She is a 1965 graduate of the former Reyn-Sykes High School in Reynoldsville, where she graduated as valedictorian.

After graduation, Kerr attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she obtained three degrees.
