(Editor’s note: This piece is one in a series of “Familiar Faces Friday” features to be written by Spirit reporter Destiny Pifer. The point of the project will be to highlight a member of the community who may be recognizable to many and tell his or her story. Today’s familiar face is Dee Hardt.)

PUNXSUTAWNEY— Dee Hardt is a familiar face. You may recognize her as a volun-teer at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital, where she works the front desk. Or perhaps, you have seen her throughout the community.

Born and raised in Uniontown, Hardt later moved to Chester, W. Va., where she graduated from High School in 1960.

Read all about Hardt in Friday's edition of The Spirit.
