Familiar Faces Friday!

March 20, 2014

Joyce Farcus

(Editor’s note: This piece is one in a series of “Familiar Faces Friday” features to be written by Spirit reporter Destiny Pifer. The point of the project will be to highlight a member of the community who may be recognizable to many and tell his or her story. Today’s familiar face is Joyce Farcus.)

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Joyce Farcus is a familiar face. You may recognize her as the owner of Mary’s Place Restaurant, or perhaps you have seen her around the community.

Born and raised in Punxsy, Farcus is a 1974 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.

Though she had dreamed about being a teacher, fate led her in a different direction.

Read all about Farcus in Friday's edition of The Spirit.
