Evelyn C. (Manges) Huey, 97, of Aultman, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at the Beacon Ridge Nursing Center.

She was born in 1913 in Ligoner, a daughter of the late George and Ellen (Stouffer) Manges.

In 1934, she married Charles Huey, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Huey was a member of the Jacksonville Presbyterian Church and the Women’s Missionary Society.

She was a wife, mother and housewife, having resided in Aultman since 1942.

Surviving relatives include three daughters and three sons, Iris Pearce and husband David of Philipsburg, Mary Bushman and husband James of Dover, Kathryn Ann Huey of Aultman, Allen L. Huey and wife Jean of St. Mary’s City, Md., Edward Huey and wife Marjorie Yarnick Huey of Indiana, and Ronald E. Huey and wife Dawn of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Minnie Ellen Stiver of Bradford; and four sisters-in-law, Eleanor Manges of Germany, Verna Huey of Denver, Colo., Violet Huey of Baden, and Bonnie Huey of Punxsutawney.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bertha Norgate; a great-grandson, Gavin Pearce; a daughter-in-law, Joanne Huey; a granddaughter-in-law, Tracy Yarnick; and three brothers and a sister, F.K. Manges, S.A. Manges, George Manges and Anna Mae Hurd.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. Susan Porch Lantz officiating.

Private interment will be in the Burnside Cemetery.
